Whats in Season – November

Boston Ivy growing on the walls of our favourite historic mansion house. This plant does not originally come from the USA but from Asia, however it is very popular in the States and is thought to be the origin for the naming of the Ivy League universities as the old campus building are often covered with this vine. It is a vigorous and handsome climber so if you have a wall that needs covering it will do the job. Glossy green throughout the growing season it’s leaves then turn bright red in the late autumn which is a spectacle not to miss.
